Here is a high-level outline of this year’s Volunteer Key Dates:
Registration: Now through January 31, 2022 - REGISTER HERE
Training: Mid-November through January 31, 2022
- A staff person from the VITA team will follow-up with details about a training path
- Watch Recorded Tax Law Trainings at own pace
- Watch Recorded Software Demo Trainings at own pace
- A Live Orientation Session is required for all volunteers in the training section
- Live Question & Answer Sessions – OPTIONAL
Certification: Mid-November through January 15, 2022

VITA Sites Open: January 24, 2022 (this is the earliest date for sites to open; not all sites will open on this date)
NOTE: These dates are approximate. To ensure the best placement of volunteers, we request you complete the registration, training and certification as soon as you can.
