United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut mobilizes the community to make a difference in the lives of children and families. We are your local United Way and focus on connecting people in our community to causes they care about and helping businesses reach their goals around philanthropic giving; employee engagement; and community involvement.
United Way has developed engagement opportunities designed to meet your interests and safety level.
Customized In-Person Volunteer Opportunities: Contact United Way staff to develop a service project to meet your needs.
Virtual Options: Want to make a difference in the community and address their needs from your home? As our society practices social distancing, United Way wants to ensure that you can do so virtually. We have a variety of ways to contribute to our focus areas of health, basic needs, financial stability, skills-based, reading and STEM.
Customized Virtual Volunteer Opportunities: Want to engage your workplace team with a virtual community event? We can work with you to plan an engaging and informative experience via Zoom, Teams, etc.
United Way Facilitated In-Person Volunteer Opportunities: All in-person volunteer projects will be carefully planned to follow current CDC health and safety guidelines. All in-person volunteer projects will consist of 25 volunteers or less.
