Volunteer: A Hand Up -- Helping the Homeless with FurnitureOur A Hand Up Program helps those that are moving out of homelessness in the Greater Hartford area with donated furniture and household goods. Volunteers help to pickup and distribute furniture to provide to clients who have recently moved out of homelessness into empty apartments. We have a warehouse in West Hartford that we typically will meet at to start the day and then caravan out to each location. We operate 7 days a week, when we have the volunteers to do so, and hope you will be able to join our volunteer team on the occasional week day or weekend when you are able to jump in!
