Learn how to run a historic trolley car or simply be a conductor. Give rides to our visitors. Learn about the history of the trolley era and give short talks to our visitors. People of all ages and skills are needed on weekdays and weekends during the summer, weekends in the spring and fall, weekend nights during December. This position has a lot of interaction with the public.
Training classes start in the spring.
Requirements:
A clean driving record. High school graduation preferred. Museum membership is required. We provide training classes and hands on experience. Minimum age of 18 for regular motormen. We also have a Junior Motorman program starting at age 16.
Time commitment:
Two 8 hour days per month, weekdays or weekends.
