Trinity College Community Child Center

TC4 is a NAEYC Accredited center that employs over 20 early educators. We service children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Located on the Trinity College campus. At Trinity College Community Child Center (TC4), we believe that children and adults of all backgrounds do their best in learning environments where they feel safe and respected. You will notice that we firmly believe in building relationships as the foundation of this respect and we spend a good deal of time working at this. When solid relationships are built, taking risks and learning come more naturally.

The Trinity College Community Child Center's (TC4) primary mission is to serve the children and families of the surrounding Hartford community and the Trinity College community by providing high quality education in a safe and nurturing environment that celebrates the diversity of the families we serve. The Program serves children aged six weeks to five years. TC4 opened in 1985 in response to a growing need for high quality care for children in and around the Trinity College neighborhood. TC4 is incorporated [501(c)3] separately from the College and has an independent Board of Directors. The Board is composed of members from the Greater Hartford community, Trinity College, and past and present parents of TC4 children. The Board meets once a month and stays abreast of the Center's functioning through reports by the Executive Director. Committees of the Board are responsible for oversight of facility, budget, fundraising, personnel, and policies. There are currently no term limits, but the Board does take into account strengths of members and diversity.
